Amadeus welcomes violinist Polina Makhina and conductor James Murray for its Autumn concert at St Saviour's. Polina is a concerto competition finalist from the Purcell School, and plays the lyrcial second concerto by Prokofiev. The concert opens with Beethoven's Overture, The Creatures of Prometheus, and the final work is Mozart's joyful Symphony no. 39, written in the space of a few weeks in the summer of 1788. Amadeus will also be giving a rare outing for Sir Malcolm Arnold's Serenade for Small Orchestra – tuneful and exciting!
